On the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the AKALIYAT Association calls for creating a unified front to counter the flow of human rights violations in our country.
Today’s global human rights movement commemorates the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in a context characterized by encroachment on human rights and the gains made.
The international community is also unable to achieve the UN’s goals of restoring peace and respect for human rights and issues of migration and asylum.
At the national level, Morocco is witnessing serious setbacks in human rights and their guarantee. The growing discourse on hatred within Moroccan society and constitutional institutions recalls the declaration of the Minister of Human Rights describing homosexuals as dirty.
The right to organize and form associations has become a right in our country; it aims to restrict the human rights movement and repress human rights defenders.
On this occasion. We, the AKALIYAT association, announce to national and international public opinion.
– Our absolute solidarity with all victims of human rights violations.
– Our condemnation of all acts of violence and hatred towards the Mim community
– Our call for a united fight against all forms of discrimination and criminalization of sexual minorities in our country
– Ask the Moroccan state to respect its human rights obligations.
